So why should you purchase from their store on Amazon instead of their site? Let’s take a look at a few reasons you should consider Amazon:

Feedback

If you have read online reviews, you already know that Watchsavings is a very reputable seller. Watchsavings also has a very high reputation on Amazon. Currently, they have a 100% positive score, and have received about 60,000 positive feedback ratings. Over the past 12 months, they have had a 100% positive transaction rate.

Price and Shipping

Many web merchants also sell on Amazon. Their prices are usually the same, if not lower on Amazon. Shipping is almost always free too.

Let’s look at an example:

On the watchsavings.com website, you can purchase this Tag Heuer Carrera Mother of Pearl Dial Stainless Steel Ladies Watch for $2250. Depending on where you live, you can add another $10-15 on top of that for shipping.

Here is the same Tag Heuer Carrera Mother of Pearl Dial Watch sold on Amazon.

Pricing aside, you are still saving about $10-15 on the shipping. That’s like having a $15 off coupon code right?

I showed one price example. You might be looking for a different item. If so, it’s really easy to find the best deal on Amazon. Just use the Amazon Discount Finder tool that appears at the top of this page. It looks something like this:

After you choose your desired country, click on the All Categories section, and in this case, choose Apparel, or Shoes, or Watches, or another appropriate category.

Then just type in whatever brand and model  that you are looking for. You can choose your desired discount level if you wish to, but it’s not necessary. Then click on Search Discount. It should then bring up all of the models available, and at the top of the list will be those with the highest discount currently available on Amazon.

On a related side note, you’d be surprised by the amount of sellers/websites that sell their products for less on Amazon. With all the competition on Amazon, stores have to offer up their best price, in order to get the sale. They don’t have to be so generous on their own site, since you only see their price. Often times, a discount code will bring the cost down to the Amazon price.

Returns

If you purchase from watchsavings.com, the return/exchange guarantee period is not stated. It might be a week, it might be a month, who knows.

On Amazon, you get the A-to-z Guarantee when purchasing from a 3rd party seller, regardless of their return policy. You are entitled to a 30 day period – from the date you receive the item – to file your claim. It really does take the risk out of purchasing online, and makes you feel secure with your purchase. If you ever have any issues with your order, Amazon’s 24/7 customer service is there to help you.

If you have ever had to file a claim with your credit card company, or waited months for a refund on a return, you will appreciate Amazon’s A-to-z Guarantee.

Product
Availability

You would think that the products available would be identical in both locations – but they aren’t. They have some products in their Amazon store that are actually not available on their own website.

For example, let’s say you’re looking for a Casio Men’s GA-110TS-1A4 G-Shock Analog-Digital Watch With Grey Resin Band. You’ll have to go their Amazon store for it – at the moment, they don’t carry it on the Watchsavings website.

Ease of Use

Let’s face it – we all use Amazon. We’re familiar with the site, how to use it, how to check out – everything is where it should be, and everything works every time. It’s comfortable. And it’s fast!

On the watchsavings.com website, that’s not exactly the case. If you want to sort by brand, and then by price, it doesn’t work. You’re left sorting through a bunch of results. Different brands, different categories, etc.

And if you try searching for a specific product, sometimes they load, other times they don’t. You’re left wanting much more functionality than they are able to deliver.

Amazon Authority

Feedback History3rd party sellers who sell on Amazon, want to remain in good standing with Amazon. As a seller, you have to meet very strict selling guidelines. You have to maintain a minimum performance rate in order to keep selling on Amazon. On top of that, you also want to receive positive feedback for all transactions.

In other words, you have to ship by the guaranteed ship by date, you have to deliver the item as described, and you have to process timely refunds (if they are initiated). You can’t take any liberties that you might on your own website.

You are pretty much guaranteed a consistently positive purchase every time you order something on Amazon. You can’t say the same about other websites or merchants.

Final Thoughts

Whichever way you decide to make your purchase, you can feel confident buying from Watchsavings. They are an authorized seller of all the brands that they carry. You will never receive grey market goods from Watchsavings.

If you are unfamiliar with the term “grey market”, it basically means products that are sold by an unauthorized seller. Grey market can include counterfeits, defects, blemishes, international versions, etc. These products do not carry the original manufacturer’s warranty (even if the seller states that they do). Stay safe – purchase from an authorized dealer!

Having been in business since 2003, Watchsavings has had a long selling history. They have had a file with the Better Business Bureau since 12/28/2005. Currently, they do have an A- rating with the BBB.

Feedback History

Watchsavings has earned about 60,000 positive feedback ratings, with a current 99% positive overall score. Watchsavings is also rated as a #1 Best Seller in many of the categories that they sell on Amazon. This basically means that they offer both a competitive price, as well as a history of customer satisfaction in those categories.

This is one of those Amazon stores to visit when you want the retail experience. If you’ve been to a watch store lately, or even any mall in general, you should be familiar with the brands and styles that they carry.

Watchsavings sells brand new merchandise, and does offer a 100% Authentic guarantee, as well as a 100% money back guarantee.

Items like Casio Men’s PRW-3000-1ACR Protrek Sport Watch, Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Automatic Mens Watch , Montblanc Star Chronograph UTC Automatic Stainless Steel Mens Watch, Longines Sport Collection HydroConquest Men’s Watch, etc.

When you sell designer & name brand watches, etc., especially at a discount, a popular question is always going to be if the items are authentic, fake, or knock-offs. To answer that question…

Let’s take a closer look at their recent feedback history. Amazon buyers have a really good way of weeding out the good sellers from the bad. If an item even SLIGHTLY looks like it might be a counterfeit or knock-off, they will leave you bad feedback. And any and all flaws will usually be reflected in a seller’s feedback. With that being said, over the last year, Watchsavings has received about 9,900 positive feedback ratings, compared to just 1% negative feedback comments. With that sort of lop-sided ratio, it definitely appears as though Watchsavings is an honestly run business, selling authentic merchandise.

All items are guaranteed to be 100% authentic, and come with all the manufacturer paper work, in their original authentic boxes as provided by the manufacturers. They also stand behind the products they sell with up to a 30-day money back guarantee. Watchsavings will also repair watches that you purchase from them for a period of 1-5 years (depending on the brand and style).

Company Profile

Watchsavings is a company based out of Brooklyn, NY. They have been in business since 1985. For those wondering if Watchsavings is legit – I think that sort of longevity answers that question. You definitely can’t stay in business for over 30 years by selling counterfeit watches.

Watchsavings has had a file with the Better Business Bureau since 12/28/2005. Currently, they have an A rating with the BBB.

Pricing

You may be wondering how they are able to sell watches for below the average retail price. Let’s dig a bit deeper and find out.

Not an authorized dealerWatchsavings is not an authorized dealer for the watches that they sell. What does that mean, and how does it affect you?

An authorized dealer basically means that the seller is buying the merchandise directly from the original manufacturer or main distributor. When you purchase from an authorized dealer, you are entitled to the full manufacturer’s warranty – which is the main benefit obtained when you purchase from an authorized seller.

However, being an authorized dealer also means having to purchase watches in bulk lots – something that smaller stores and seller can’t afford. The way of getting around this issue is to purchase smaller amounts of inventory from an authorized dealer, or main distributor. It’s actually a win-win for everybody, as the authorized dealer is able to purchase more, and obtain a higher bulk discount, and then sell that inventory to other sellers at a cheaper price.

Since the non-authorized seller is not bound by minimum price guidelines set by the manufacturer, they are free to choose their own selling price. By doing this, they are able to pass the savings on to the customer, and sell their watches well below the average retail price.

Win-win for everybody right? Well not necessarily.

The only downside of this, is that when you purchase from a non-authorized dealer, you aren’t entitled to the original manufacturer’s warranty. In this case, with Watchsavings, that isn’t really an issue, as they provide you with a 1-5 year seller warranty, and do all repairs in house – so you’re covered anyways.

Please note: Your watch probably won’t come with a warranty card, or an authorized dealer’s stamp. That is normal when purchasing from a non-authorized dealer.

Return Policy

Watchsavings does have a 30-day hassle free returns policy. No need to email back for a return authorization, or deal with with annoying emails back and forth. You just click on return, and send it back. And having a month to do so is quite convenient.

You’re also covered by the A-to-z guarantee if the seller does not communicate with you, and/or does not resolve any issues that you may have. In my experience though, you won’t need it – Watchsavings is very quick to respond. And their 99% positive feedback level is a testament to that.

Unlike many other sellers online, Watchsavings does not charge a restocking fee for returned items. Most sellers online charge a restocking fee anywhere between 15% to 20%. That’s not much for a $10 item, but when you’re buying a watch that costs a few hundred dollars, it really does make quite a difference.
