Monster Cable headphones, speakers, cables, and other audio video accessories are sold in the United States through authorized dealers selected by Monster Cable. Authorized Monster Cable Retailers receive training and product knowledge, and are chosen for their ability to represent the brand. Monster Cable provides a warranty on products sold only by authorized dealers on Amazon.
If you purchase an Monster Cable product from an unauthorized dealer, you are not entitled to the Monster Cable warranty coverage, or tech support, even if the seller claims that you are. The Monster Cable products sold by unauthorized dealers are purchased by the seller on the “grey” market, and are usually the import version of the product.
An import version basically means that the product was meant for sale in a different country. For example, Monster iSport Freedom Bluetooth Wireless On-Ear Headphones that were meant for the European market, being sold in the US. The import version is usually the same exact product, just without the warranty. As described in the Monster Cable warranty page, their warranties are region specific. In other words….those iSport Freedom headphones that were meant to be sold in Europe, will only be warrantied in Europe. Usually, these products will be labeled as either “import version” or “international version”.
In these instances, your package will usually either be missing a warranty card, or will have a warranty card that does not state “U.S. warranty”. If you card is missing, or if you have a card that says something like “Japanese Warranty” – you have purchased a grey market product.
Purchasing from an authorized dealer guarantees that you not only receive the full Monster Cable warranty, but also that the product you are purchasing is authentic. The unfortunate truth of buying online is that a few bad apples taint the many good sellers out there. Shopping from an authorized reseller is one way of protecting you from unscrupulous sellers.
Monster Cable products are made with precise standards and quality controls. Monster Cable products, even if authentic, might be subject to incorrect handling, seller modification, etc. Authorized sellers adhere to the handling and selling standards set by Monster Cable, which is another reason to purchase from an authorized dealer.

Just keep in mind – If you don’t see a seller listed here, it doesn’t mean that they are selling fake, or non-authentic products. It just means that they are not authorized by Monster Cable to sell their products, and are not buying the merchandise from Monster Cable. In the majority of cases, the warranty will not be honored by Monster Cable. Look out for phrases like “Seller provided warranty”, or “Limited Warranty”, etc. These types of warranties will almost always be for less than 1 year. Often times, they are for just 30 or 90 days, and just protect you from DOA products. (Original Monster Cable warranties are provided below).
On the other hand, if you are looking at a Monster Cable audio product in one of the stores above, and wondering if the item is fake – purchase with confidence! These stores have been verified with Monster Cable to be authorized dealers. You are receiving an authentic product, and are entitled to the full original manufacturer’s warranty.

- Headphones – 1 year

- Power Accessories – 5 years or lifetime depending on model

*8pin Lightning cables carry a 1 year warranty.
All Monster Cable warranties only apply to the original end-user only, and are non-transferable. If you purchase a pre-owned product (even if new in the box), you will not be entitled to the original Monster Cable warranty, even if it was originally sold by an authorized dealer.
As mentioned above, if you purchase your Monster Cable product from a non-authorized seller, you are not entitled to tech support, or the warranty coverage. Monster Cable will repair defective products, at your expense – which includes shipping to and from, parts, labor, etc.
For valid warranty claims, you will need your receipt showing a purchase from an authorized dealer, so remember to save your proof of purchase.
