Rubio Magic – eBay store review

Rubio Magic (rubiomagic) is a store on eBay selling magic cards, magic trading card game items, magic decks, collectibles, video games, pokemon items, and more. Click on the blue link above to find out what specials and sales they are currently offering.

Feedback History

Rubio Magic has been selling on eBay since 2001, and has accumulated over 150,000 positive feedbacks, with an overall score of 99.8%. So they have been quite successful in the MTG niche. A lot of people buy magic cards online, and so it does look like Rubio Magic does quite well. You have to really work hard to accumulate 150k of positive feedback. You have to deliver good quality products, a good price, and awesome customer service, so Rubio Magic is definitely doing something right. I would feel very secure about my purchase in this store.

Rubio Magic does obviously have magic cards for sale, but they also sell accessories like magic card sleeves, magic booster box, magic the gathering playmats etc. However, they also have in stock classic Nintendo, SNES, and Atari video games and accessories.

Looking a bit further down, they also sell Pokemon merchandise, sports memorabilia, books, music and movies, etc. But the vast majority of their over 15,000 items for sale are centered around magic cards and accessories.

What I like or don’t like

Their store navigation is fairly useful. Their left side eBay category listing is quite extensive. If you click on a main category, you then have multiple sub categories to choose from, like type, brand, etc. Once you get into a listing, the same menu carries over.

With average collectibles and memorabilia stores, the listings just show you one or two pictures. Either the seller(s) is lazy, or they’re trying to hide imperfections. With Rubio Magic, you get numerous pictures of the item in question. For a lot listings I have seen up to 10 or 12 pictures that fully depict the item. In addition, they do have very accurate descriptions that detail all flaws and condition notes. If you’re buying a memory chip, or a cell phone case, you really just need one picture. With collectibles, you really need five to ten pictures to really see what you are buying, so Rubio Magic really tries to make you feel secure and confidant with the item.

Their attention to detail in their listings, and their stellar feedback really makes you feel secure in shopping from this eBay store. 14 Day Return PolicyAs does their 14-day hassle free returns policy. No need to email back for a return authorization, or deal with with annoying emails back and forth. You just click on return, and send it back. That’s it!

An interesting note about this store – They sell some brand new and sealed Nintendo games from the 80’s. For example, they have a new and sealed Double Dragon video game for $449. Back then, we would buy these games for about $20 or so (most games were $19.99). And most kids had about 10-15 games – I personally had 12. If I had known that I could sell them twenty years later for about $500 each, I would have never opened them!
