Newegg is an e-retailer selling mostly electronic consumer products. Chances are, if you’ve searched for a Playstation on eBay, or a computer, or a tablet – you’ve come across Newegg on eBay. They are one of the most popular eBay stores. Click on the blue link above to check out the Newegg deals currently offered.
Newegg on eBay is an extension of their website which you may have already come across. It is more of a professional or corporate style of store rather than an individual or small business type of store, and it does reflect onto their eBay selling page. Their store frontpage is remarkably clean and easy to navigate, and you should be able to find what you are looking for rather quickly. On the other hand, if you’re just window shopping, you should have a pretty good time doing so as they have a large number of products per category, as well as a lot of convenient complimentary items.
For example, if you’re thinking about buying playstation 4, on Newegg, you’ll find the PS4, but you’ll also see listings for games, accessories, adapters, etc. – so you can pretty much complete an entire purchase all in one store.
The benefits of buying from Newegg on eBay in my opinion are strongly apparent in two places. First, their prices are just amazing. They consistently have the lowest prices in their respective categories compared to other retailers. And that’s for their website. In their eBay store, you’ll find even better deals.
If you were to search google for a Newegg coupon, and apply it to your purchase, you would most likely find the same item in their eBay store for less – even with the Newegg coupons applied!
Secondly, if you want an even better deal, they offer manufacturer refurbished products as well. A manufacturer refurbished item is “An item that has been professionally restored to working order by a manufacturer or
I’ve personally had mixed results with refurbished items online. If you buy these items from a not-so well known seller, you’re taking a 50-50 chance. Sometimes the extent of the condition is not very well described. In other cases, the product hasn’t been 100% refurbished. For example – I bought a refurbished laptop last year from a small-time seller. The claim was that the laptop had been refurbished, and was in as-new condition. When I received it, the pads on the control panel were very well worn, and there was a piece of tape holding the main control panel door on the underside shut. So the term “refurbished” can vary greatly in meaning from one seller to the next.
This is where Newegg on eBay shines in my opinion. Their manufacturer refurbished items, are actually 100% refurbished to meet or exceed the original standards. So not only are you getting a practically brand new product, but you’re also receiving deep discounts as well. About two years ago, I wanted a PS3. My budget was about $150 at the time, which basically landed me in the used or refurbished category. I didn’t really want to take my chances with a used product as every description you read says “gently used”. What does “gently used” really mean anyways?
Eventually I narrowed my choice down to a listing from Newegg, and purchased it. The PS3 arrived very quickly, and very well packaged. It was as the description said, refurbished, and in excellent condition. It really did look brand new. And as a testament to their refurbished products, my PS3 is still working, and I’ve never had an issue with it. And it hasn’t exactly been gently used either!
If you’re looking for an electronic product, and you want to make the most of your money, I would highly recommend trying a manufacturer refurbished product from Newegg on eBay. Not only will you save a great deal of money, but you’ll also have the peace of mind knowing that you’re getting a great quality product – not a “gently used” item from some guy in his garage!
