Linda’s Stuff has been selling on eBay since 2001. They have accumulated over 550,000 positive feedback, with a 99.5% overall positive score, so they are definitely a successful business. You don’t just stumble upon 550,000 feedback – you have to earn it. This really makes you feel secure about your purchase in this store. This is also a Top-Rated store on eBay.
It’s not easy to become a Top-Rated store on eBay. You have to provide good quality items, accurate descriptions, excellent customer service, and fast shipping. And you have to do this day after day, month after month. So Linda’s Stuff has had a very successful and positive selling history on eBay.
If you look through their menu, they actually do carry a lot of top designers. Brands like Balenciaga, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Versace, Zac Posen, and many more.
This consignment boutique accepts clothing and other items to be sold via their store, but after a screening and inspecting process, only lists the items which they deem to be in the best condition. Basically how it works is that they send the customer a pre-paid shipping label, which is then used to send the merchandise back to them. If the items meet their screening process, they will then sell the items for the customer. Buying used items online can be a bit messy, but their screening and inspection process ensures that only the highest quality merchandise makes it to the “sales floor.”
Designer consignment shops have been around for some time now, but for the most part they were brick and mortar shops. With online fashion shopping being such a big industry now, it was only a matter of time before the consignment process went online as well.
If you have hang ups over buying from a thrift shop online, just remember that a lot of the stores you purchase from are really thrift shops in disguise. Do you shop on eBay? Most of the stores are thrift shops. Do you buy products using Amazon? Amazon is practically the biggest thrift shop in the world. So don’t let the stigma of a thrift store affect you, especially since a lot of the clothes in Linda’s Stuff are actually new with tags.
What I like or don’t like
Their store navigation is fairly useful. They have a pictorial menu, with a top navigation bar menu with the different categories that they carry. Each main category also has drop down sub categories to choose from, like type, brand, etc. After you choose your main category, you get a left side menu as well. Once you get into a listing, the same menu carries over.
One thing that I really appreciate about their listings is the detail that goes into each listing. In the description portion, you have pretty much every size, color, measurement, etc. that you could possibly want. And they have numerous pictures for each item. Not just one of two like most sellers do, but 5 to 10 pictures, including different angles, close ups, etc. It’s small details like this that make a buyer feel comfortable, and puts their buying fears at ease.
Their attention to detail in their listings, and their stellar feedback really makes you feel secure in shopping from this eBay store. As does their 14-day hassle free returns policy. No need to email back for a return authorization, or deal with with annoying emails back and forth. You just click on return, and send it back. That’s it!
