Car Parts Wholesale has been selling on eBay since 2004. They have earned almost 2 million positive feedback ratings, with a current overall positive score of 99.5%. Carpartswholesale is also a Top-Rated eBay store.
It’s not easy to become a Top-Rated store on eBay. You have to provide good quality items, accurate descriptions, excellent customer service, and fast shipping. And you have to do this day after day, month after month. So Carpartswholesale has had a very successful and positive selling history on eBay.
I was excited to do this Car Parts Wholesale review as my first full time job was at Kragen Auto Parts. If you’ve never heard of Kragen, it was an auto parts chain like Advance Auto, or Napa Auto Parts before being bought out by O’Reilly Auto Parts. So this is an area that I have 4 years of experience in. Based off of brand names, pictures, descriptions, I can generally tell between OEM parts, and aftermarket; and also between quality parts, and cheap junk.
What’s really impressive about Car Parts Wholesale is their extensive inventory of body parts, bumpers, door handles, weatherstripping, etc. Most automotive parts stores online have the regular stuff like filters, hoses, alternators, auto accessories, etc. But there aren’t too many stores that sell the detailed body parts like a door handle, or the whole door, or a center console.
I first started working on cars about 18 years ago. And back then, we obviously didn’t have the internet as it is today. You had to go to junk yards or a dealer for your aftermarket body parts. The dealers obviously charged an arm and a leg, and junkyard parts were iffy. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn’t. The problem with salvage auto parts is that – besides being used – unless you have a part that was manufactured around the same time as your original part, it might not fit perfectly for reasons that I won’t bore you about here.
So being able to buy these parts online has made working on, and fixing cars much easier. You get the convenience of buying a brand new part from the dealer, but at a much better price. Not quite junk yard cheap, but a fair middle.
The last time I purchased from them was for a bumper of all parts. I wanted to replace the front bumper for my truck. The dealer wanted about $600. The price at Car Parts Wholesale was about $237. Easy decision!
With a lot of these aftermarket replacement parts, you tend to find uneven lines, sharp edges that should be rounded, corners that are rounded when they should be sharp. And when you get them on, it looks like a Mickey Mouse job. The bumper I received from Car Parts Wholesale was actually a very clean and well made piece. I was expecting something in the B level, since it was almost $200 less than the stock part. I was pleasantly surprised.
If you are thinking of making a purchase in their store, go for it! They have a 30 day hassle free return policy, so if you’re not satisfied, you can get your money back. And they have a 1 year, unlimited mileage warranty, so you know you’re covered.
