Feedback History

Battersbox has been selling on eBay since 1998, and currently has accumulated over 350,000 positive feedback ratings, with an overall score of 99.9%. And they are a Top-Rated store, so you can definitely feel secure about your purchase knowing that you are getting quality merchandise, as well as great customer service.

Top-Rated store on eBayIt’s not easy to become a Top-Rated store on eBay. You have to provide good quality items, accurate descriptions, excellent customer service, and fast shipping. And you have to do this day after day, month after month. So Battersbox has had a very successful and positive selling history on eBay.

Battersbox on eBay does not sell PSA graded cards, which does make you question their authenticity. So lets take a closer look, and see it their history lends any credibility to the authenticity of their cards.

Looking over their feedback over the past 12 months, they have about 100,000 positives compared to just 29 negatives. And the vast majority of the negatives are about shipping or communication problems. A majority of that 29 comes from three lone buyers. Sometimes a transaction goes wrong for whatever reason, and the buyer will take their anger out on you for any and all other transactions, that on their own were probably just fine. So if you count only one feedback per buyer, they really only have 13 negative transactions, compared to 100,000 positives.

With this type of lopsided ratio in favor of positive, you can really feel secure about your purchase. With everyday common eBay purchases, this kind of security doesn’t really matter. With expensive collectibles like the ones for sale in this store, you really have to do your homework and make sure you are purchasing from a reputable seller. Battersbox definitely checks out as a reputable seller. If you are in the business of selling fake and counterfeit merchandise, eBay buyers generally weed your out. A 100,000 to 13 ratio definitely backs up your eBay credibility.

What I like or don’t like

What I really like about this store is the organization of their categories. You can pick categories not only be sport, but by decade as well. So if you want a 50’s card, you don’t have to wade through 100 years of cards to pick them out. Also, they have a nice selection as well. With over 250,000 in stock, they have pretty much every decade, brand, & sport covered.

And with their Horrors of War category, along with the “Non-Sports” category, they have pretty much ever kind of card ever made. This is definitely not your average baseball card shop. For example: A 1967 Topps William Shakespeare card, a 1952 Look n See #79 Edgar Allen Poe card, or a 1967 Topps Who Am I #1 George Washington. Their selection of weird cards is very entertaining.

Another thing that I really appreciate about this store is the quality of their listings. Each listing has a large picture, so you’re not left playing a guessing game. The pictures are so large, they literally fill your the vertical length of your screen, so you can see any flaw, rounded corner, crease, etc. It can get really annoying when you’re looking at a listing and wondering if it’s the right color, size, model, etc. With a lot of sellers, you just get that one small stock photo, so detailed listings like these are good to have.
