Asset Auctions Online on eBay (bargainhuntersfriend) is a store selling stamps, currency, coins, postal history covers, bank notes, stock certificates, FDC, dies, vintage advertising, and other collectibles. . Click on the blue link above to check out their store, and to see what specials and sales they are currently offering.
Asset Auctions Online has been selling on eBay since 2001. They have accumulated over 290,000 positive ratings, as well as a 100% score. So they definitely have their share of volume on eBay, as well as the feedback history to earn respectability. You can’t accumulate over 290,000 positive feedback unless you are selling good quality products, and offering excellent customer service.
Asset Auctions Online goes a long way in providing the buyer with security. They have the excellent selling history mentioned above. But they also provide you with extensive information about their business, pictures of their offices, a picture of their owner, etc. How many stores show you the owner’s or the CEO’s picture? Not too many. So they really care about assuring their buyers, and giving them the confidence to shop in their store.
Also, if you click on the “About Us” link, you can learn a lot more about their company, as well as about their accreditation from different organizations like the Indiana Auctioneers Association, the American Philatelic Society, and the American Numismatic Association. They go a long way in establishing their credibility, but also their integrity. I really appreciate when the About Us section shows pictures of their facilities or warehouses, and of their staff or management. It really makes you feel like they are in it for the long term, and not just a pop-up shop looking to make a quick buck.
What I like or don’t like
There are two things that you immediately notice and appreciate about this store. First, this store has a very vintage feel to it. Looking at the store front page, you almost feel like you are sitting in a large leather chair, smoking a cigar, and looking at albums filled with stamps, coins, etc. If you enjoy collectibles, and if you enjoy window shopping – you might end up surfing through a bunch of their listings.
Their store navigation is fairly useful. Their left side eBay category listing is quite extensive. If you click on a main category, you then have multiple sub categories to choose from, like type, brand, etc. Once you get into a listing, the same menu carries over.
Secondly is their attention to detail in the listings. Their descriptions describe the item in detail, including certifications if any. And you don’t just get a stock picture like you would with most sellers, you get multiple pictures, and very large pictures, which I love as they actually show details.
Their attention to detail in their listings, and their stellar feedback really makes you feel secure in shopping from this eBay store. As does their 14-day hassle free returns policy. No need to email back for a return authorization, or deal with with annoying emails back and forth. You just click on return, and send it back. That’s it!
