As of 1/3/2018, Salon’s Choice has earned about 12,030 positive feedback ratings, with a current 100% positive overall score. Salon’s Choice is also rated as a #1 Best Seller in many of the categories that they sell on Amazon. This basically means that they offer both a competitive price, as well as a history of customer satisfaction in those categories.
Salon’s Choice mainly sells items like health and beauty products, hair care products, skin care products, and more. They carry brands like Olaplex, Voronajj, TIGI, UNITE, Sexy Hair Concepts, Pureology, Living Proof, Keratin Complex, Kerastase, Peter Thomas Roth, Malibu Wellness, PCA Skin, Redken, RevitaLash, REDKEN, and others.
This is one of those Amazon stores to visit when you want the retail experience. If you’ve been to any department store in general, you should be familiar with the brands and styles that they carry.
Items like Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3, Unite 7Seconds Condition Leave in Detangler, Keratin Complex Keratin Color Care Duo – Shampoo and Conditioner, Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum, etc.
Salon’s Choice sells brand new merchandise, and does offer a 100% Authentic guarantee, as well as a 100% money back guarantee. According to their profile, they purchase their merchandise from manufacturers and authorized distributors – which is very important.
When you sell name brand health products, etc., especially at a discount, a popular question is always going to be if the items are authentic, fake, or knock-offs. To answer that question…
Let’s take a closer look at their recent feedback history. Amazon buyers have a really good way of weeding out the good sellers from the bad. If an item even SLIGHTLY looks like it might be a counterfeit or knock-off, they will leave you bad feedback. And any and all flaws will usually be reflected in a seller’s feedback. With that being said, over the past 12 months, Salon’s Choice has received about 7,800 positive feedback ratings, compared to just 0% negative feedback comments. With that sort of lop-sided ratio, it definitely appears as though Salon’s Choice is an honestly run business, selling authentic merchandise.
All items are guaranteed to be 100% authentic, and come with all the manufacturer paper work, in their original authentic boxes as provided by the manufacturers.
There isn’t much information to be found online about Salon’s Choice. You won’t find a Salon’s choice website. Many Amazon buyers like to verify that 3rd party sellers have their own website, before purchasing from them. They feel as though purchasing from those sellers who don’t have their own sites is a risk. This is especially true when purchasing skin care, health and beauty, supplements, etc.
They claim to “sell to salons, beauty schools, high-end retailers and to hotels all over the world”, so most likely, if true, this is a larger company selling on Amazon using Salon’s Choice as their store name.
But still, with no website to speak of, and no BBB profile to look up, we need to turn to their Amazon profile, in order to make an accurate assessment of their store.
The first thing that I noticed is that Salon’s Choice is an FBA seller. If you’re not familiar with that term, FBA stands for Fulfilled by Amazon. FBA sellers purchase their own inventory, and then ship it off to Amazon who fulfills their orders as they come in.
That’s actually a lot more significant than you might think. The FBA program is not an automatic thing, it has restrictions and guidelines, that sellers need to meet. One of those guidelines being that Amazon verifies where sellers are obtaining their merchandise, to ensure their authenticity.
So we can expect authentic health products from Salon’s choice, but is there something wrong with them? Are they expired or damaged? The last thing you want is to put expired cream on your face, or ingest useless vitamins or medications.
Let’s take a closer look at their feedback to find the answer.
Browsing through their recent feedback history, you’ll want to look for “red flag” comments. A late shipment, or an incorrect received is not a big deal – mistakes happen. But if you see a large number of complaints about not receiving orders, or expired products, that is something to be concerned about. So let’s take a look:
As mentioned above, Salon’s Choice had an excellent feedback history on Amazon. Here is a quick snippet:
The majority of their feedback comments are some form of “fast shipment”, or “excellent product”, or “great seller”, etc.
But they don’t tell the whole story. We have to sift through the feedback and find the negative comments to really be able to tell.
Over the past 30 days, they actually don’t have too many negative comments, here are the few that I found:
The first two are about the bottle itself, not about the product inside. The 3rd is Amazon taking responsibility for a late shipment. Usually, red flag comments will mention things like “expired medication”, or “seller never shipped and is unresponsive”, etc.
Given the lack of any real red flags in their feedback, and the fact that they are an FBA seller, I would have to say that Salon’s Choice is legit.
Salon’s Choice offers a 30-day hassle free returns policy. No need to email back for a return authorization, or deal with with annoying emails back and forth. You just click on return, and send it back. And having a month to do so is quite convenient.
